Product Management Training | Product Talks | ProductCamp Sydney

We’re social creatures at brainmates. We enjoy meeting and greeting Product Managers across all industries. We’re always up for a hearty debate about Product Management and of course, a little social chit chat over a glass of wine or two.
To meet us, you can join us at one of our FREE “Product Talks” events or you can attend something more formal – our “Strategic Product Management” training course.

Product Talks

“Product Talks” is a FREE event for Product Managers held in Sydney at the brainmates office on Level 9, 84 Pitt Street.

The next “Product Talk” will be:

  • Product Talk #5 : 10 February 2010 from 5.30 PM
“Social media: challenges and opportunities for product managers and marketers”

NOTE – this event is now fully booked.

We’ve been thrilled with the response to Product Talks #5 “Social media: Challenges and opportunities for product managers”. Due to capacity limits at our venue, we’re unable to accept additional registrations.

We have attendees joining us from a range of organisations in different industries. We have people from telecommunications, banking & finance, entertainment, sports, hospitality, utilities, IT and media. It’s clear that social media is an area of interest to product managers and marketers.

We are investigating training and educational programs in this space and encourage you to register for the brainmates newsletter to keep updated.

Overview

Product managers and marketers are increasingly using web 2.0 and social media.

Used strategically, social media helps facilitate faster and more effective collaboration in developing competitive products and services. It also provides new cost effective ways of connecting with customers and the community and interactive platforms to promote products and services.

This event provides an overview “primer” about the origins and applications of social media. We are fortunate to have three guest panellists who will share their thoughts and experiences in using social media and the challenges and opportunities it presents.

This event is for product managers and marketers who want to understand how to use social media to help achieve their goals.

About Product Talks

We started “Product Talks” to facilitate conversations about the many common challenges faced by Product Managers. To fuel discussion, we’ve prepared a topic for each event. The sessions are generally led by Nick Coster who asks a series of questions and occasionally voices his own opinion. We encourage open debate so the group can learn from us and each other. On occasions, “Product Talks” is led by a guest speaker.

“Product Talks” is also a networking function. We’re keen for Product Managers across different industries to meet up and exchange business cards. You never know where your next job offer will come from.

Please come with strong opinions and a desire to voice them!

There will also be a door prize draw for everyone who pre-registers and then provides their business card at the the event, so register now!
